This diverse landscape, dotted with ancient baobab trees, is also a prime location to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.
As you explore the park on a thrilling game drive, you’ll witness Tarangire’s stunning wildlife, including its famous tree-climbing pythons and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch in the wild allows you to take in the beauty of your surroundings before continuing your safari.
By late afternoon, you’ll head to your camping ground, where you can relax and enjoy a hearty dinner.
Note: This tour includes a hotel pickup in Arusha, but airport transfers are available at an additional cost.
Serengeti National Park - Into the Heart of the Wild
After an early breakfast at the campsite in Mto wa Mbu, you’ll begin your journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater—one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife habitats. Along the way, there’s a chance to spot wildlife and admire the changing landscapes.
Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive across the endless plains. This is prime territory for viewing the Big Five, cheetahs, hyenas, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebras. If you’re traveling during the Great Migration, you might witness thousands of animals moving in search of greener pastures—an awe-inspiring natural event.
As evening approaches, you’ll head to a public campsite in the heart of the Serengeti. Relax with dinner under the stars and fall asleep to the distant sounds of lions and hyenas echoing through the night.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro - Journey Through Stunning Landscapes
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, exploring more of the vast plains and wildlife. After the drive, head to the Serengeti Gate for a relaxing lunch. Following lunch, begin the scenic journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, you’ll pass through changing landscapes, from open savannah to lush highlands, with opportunities to spot wildlife.
In the late afternoon, arrive at your campsite situated on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. This unique location offers breathtaking panoramic views of the crater floor, one of Africa’s most famous natural wonders. Take time to unwind and absorb the stunning surroundings as the sun sets.
Dinner will be served at the campsite, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful evening under the African stars before a restful night.
Ngorongoro Crater - Exploring Africa's Eden
After an early breakfast, you’ll descend for the Ngorongoro Crater, home to the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera.
Descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll enter a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places to spot the rare black rhinos, alongside lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos. The crater’s lakes and swamps also attract large flocks of flamingos, geese, storks, and other bird species.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site by Ngoitoktok Swamp, where hippos wallow in the water. After an unforgettable day in the crater, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha and will be dropped off at your accommodation in Arusha or at the airport.
Accommodation after the tour can be arranged upon request for an additional cost. Transfers to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha are also available. Extend your adventure with a Zanzibar beach holiday for the perfect end to your trip.
Travelicious Review
We went with a friend on safari in Tanzania in September 2023. Philbert was really nice guide and met our expectations on sagari 100 %. It was unforgettable experience and would really do safari once again. The lodges he chose for us, was really good. The welcoming, the staff, the food, all in all everything met our expectations more as expected. Keep doing your great work!! Greetings from Lithuania and Switzerland.
