Itinerary

  • Early Morning Departure: My Trip2Tanzania guide with our safari car will pick you up from your from your accommodation in Arusha or a nearby location in the early morning. Tarangire is about a 2 to 2.5-hour drive from Arusha.
  • Arrival and Morning Game Drive: Begin your safari adventure with a morning game drive. The early hours are often the best time for wildlife sightings as animals are more active before the heat of the day.
  • Tarangire River: Explore the areas along the Tarangire River, which is a water source that attracts a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and numerous bird species.
  • Wildlife Observation: Continue the game drive to explore different parts of the park. Keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife that inhabits Tarangire.
  • Baobab Trees: Visit areas with iconic baobab trees, which are a distinctive feature of the park’s landscape. They make for excellent photo opportunities.
  • Lunch at a Picnic Site: Stop at a designated picnic site for lunch. Enjoy your meal surrounded by nature, and be cautious not to attract wildlife with food.
  • Afternoon Game Drive: Resume your safari with an afternoon game drive. Explore additional regions of the park and observe the behavior of wildlife during the different times of the day.
    • Departure: Depart from Tarangire National Park in the late afternoon. The drive back to Arusha or your accommodation typically takes about 2 to 2.5 hours and this will be the end of your Tarangire day-trip

    Visa
    To enter Tanzania, most traveler's require a tourist or business visa. You can apply for an e-visa online or obtain a visa on arrival at designated entry points. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date and has one blank page. Apply through the official Tanzania Immigration website for an e-visa or obtain a visa on arrival at major entry points.

    Yellow fever
    Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for travelers arriving from Countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission.This also applies to those who have transited through such countries for 12 hours or more. Upon arrival, you must present a valid vaccination certificate

    Zanzibar Insurance Policy
    As of October 1, 2024, Zanzibar requires all visitors (excluding residents) to obtain mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) for the duration of their stay, up to 92 days.

    Where to Buy: Only available through Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) International travel insurance policies are not accepted; only the ZIC policy meets the entry requirements. It's advisable to purchase the insurance in advance to avoid delays upon arrival.
