Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Meet MyTrip2Tanzania representative at the airport or in Arusha, transfer to your accommodation, and receive your 13-Day Safari & Zanzibar Combo travel schedule. Dinner and overnight at Under the Shades Safari Lodge


Day 2: Arusha Town Tour

Explore Arusha, known as the “Safari Capital of East Africa.” Visit the vibrant Maasai Market for traditional crafts and the Cultural Heritage Centre to discover Tanzanian art and culture. Enjoy lunch at Shwari Restaurant before heading to Under the Shades Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Start from Arusha by heading to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Spend the day exploring the park, known for its large herds of elephants, baobab trees, and diverse bird species. Around noon, lunch will be provided at the picnic area. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the park’s wildlife, including lions, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. Dinner and Overnight Marera Valley Lodge


Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Head to Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in the central or southern Serengeti and embark on an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, so be on the lookout for wildebeest, zebras, and predators. Lunch will be provided at a picnic area around noon. Dinner and overnight at Into Wild Africa Luxury Tented Camp.


Day 5: Serengeti Full Day

Spend the entire day exploring the central or southern Serengeti, maximising your chances of witnessing the Great Migration and encountering diverse wildlife. For a unique perspective, consider a hot air balloon safari (optional and subject to availability). Lunch will be provided at a picnic area around noon. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.


Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart early for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world’s largest unbroken caldera. Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can spot the rare black rhino, lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos. Birdlife includes flamingos on Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Crater, at Ngoitokitok Swamp—a hippo pool. Dinner and overnight at at Manyara Safari Lodge


Day 7: Departure

  • On your last day with us, depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha for your next destination.
  • This 7-Day Family Safari in Tanzania can be combined with a Zanzibar beach or road trip; feel free to ask us about this option.

    Visa
    To enter Tanzania, most traveler's require a tourist or business visa. You can apply for an e-visa online or obtain a visa on arrival at designated entry points. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date and has one blank page. Apply through the official Tanzania Immigration website for an e-visa or obtain a visa on arrival at major entry points.


    Yellow fever
    Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for travelers arriving from Countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission.This also applies to those who have transited through such countries for 12 hours or more. Upon arrival, you must present a valid vaccination certificate


    Zanzibar Insurance Policy
    As of October 1, 2024, Zanzibar requires all visitors (excluding residents) to obtain mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) for the duration of their stay, up to 92 days.

    Where to Buy: Only available through Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) International travel insurance policies are not accepted; only the ZIC policy meets the entry requirements. It's advisable to purchase the insurance in advance to avoid delays upon arrival.
