Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Start your Camping Safari 5-Day Adventure from Arusha by heading to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Spend the day exploring the park, known for its large herds of elephants, baobab trees, and diverse bird species. Around noon, lunch will be provided at the picnic area. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the park’s wildlife, including lions, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. Dinner and Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

Day 2: Central Serengeti National Park

Drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in the central Serengeti and enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive. Famous for the Great Migration, the Serengeti is home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and their predators, so keep an eye out for these incredible sights. Lunch will be served at a picnic spot around noon. After a thrilling day, enjoy dinner and overnight at Into Wild Tented Camp.

Day 3: Serengeti Central – Serengeti Northern

After breakfast, we’ll drive across the plains of Togoro and through the Mbuzi Mawe kopjes, heading toward the northern Serengeti. Along the way, enjoy the diverse landscapes, from wooded hills and rocky kopjes to the vast savannah. Keep an eye out for wildlife, from the tiny dik-dik to majestic elephants and giraffes. Upon reaching the Kogatende region, we’ll search for the Wildebeest Migration and the famous Big Five. Dinner and overnight at Heritage Mara Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Northern)

After breakfast, we’ll head out for a game drive around the Kogatende area, searching the kopjes for carnivores and large migration groups preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya. The Mara River, home to many hippos and Nile crocodiles, is the last major obstacle for the Wildebeest Migration before reaching the safety of the Maasai Mara. With some luck and patience, you might witness the dramatic river crossing, where wildebeest and zebras face the fierce currents and waiting crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Heritage Mara Camp.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back towards Ngorongoro, taking a different route through the Serengeti to spot any wildlife you may have missed. As we travel, you’ll see vast herds of wildebeests and zebras migrating, along with giraffes, gazelles, elephants, and predators. The day offers plenty of opportunities for unforgettable wildlife sightings. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, descend 600 meters into the world’s largest unbroken caldera, home to diverse wildlife, including the rare black rhino, lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos. Birdlife is abundant, with flamingos on Soda Lake, as well as geese, storks, and vultures. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokitok Swamp, a famous hippo pool, before continuing your game drive.
